10 Million Smiles Happiness Tour
After discovering that Stage 4 Colon Cancer wanted to hitch a ride in my body, I knew life would be different. I did not want to do the same things that most people were doing. I saw fighting cancer as a negative, so decided to dance with it instead. That’s what this trip is all about – getting into a dance with cancer and turning it into as much of a positive as possible while collecting 10 million smiles! Spreading smiles, being positive, and living a life of joy are some of my things. This is an extension of a 2,000-mile walk I took in 2011to spread smiles and show people that no matter what happens in life, you are allowed to smile and be happy!
This is the van I will be driving across America. I will be living my bucket list while spreading smiles! I have started the drive by visiting a couple of towns already! I am blogging about the places I visit and the people I meet. I have no idea where this adventure will take me, how it will be funded or what is going to happen. All I know is that this is a big part of what I am doing to dance with cancer! Stay strong, be safe and keep smiling! Being a motivational speaker is something that came easily for me due to my positive nature. A virtue that has been tested in my life several times. I experienced many traumatic situations over the years. I overcame a life-threatening cerebral hemorrhage, I had a dance with stage 4 cancer and I suffered the loss of my oldest daughter. These moments can be extremely tragic and difficult to handle for most people. It feels like the world is tearing a hole in your heart and soul, finding your way back to a happy place can feel like an impossible challenge.
I consider myself a happiness ambassador. Spreading happiness and a positive attitude is the reason why my motivational speaking has allowed me to touch so many people in very positive ways. I can provide a valuable contribution to corporate events and motivational rallies with my own personal experiences. The idea is to stimulate an emotional burst of energy that helps people get back on track – a truly motivating force that is driven and fueled by genuine emotions.
